THOR•LO originated the category of “sport specific” socks in 1980. Since then what started out as a sport specific sock company has become much more. THOR•LO originally launched with four styles: golf, running, tennis and basketball. Almost immediately they began to receive letters from consumers and doctors telling them how THOR•LO products were solving all sorts of foot, leg, and back problems making their feet “feel better” which allowed them to enjoy their activities more.

THOR•LO technology is grounded in the machines and equipment used to make Thorlos® sock products. All of their equipment is customized to improve the way the machine knits the “activity specific” fabric. This attention to detail makes Thorlos® last longer, creates terry loops that are higher and more resilient, reduces shearing and impact forces, and improves the stretch and fit of the entire product.
